Subject re Qeq
We've kicked around the idea of doing this through binding characters to accounts which could offer a whole bunch of perks, but it also is a major beast with how many ideas it could encompass. I'd be fine with seeing QEQ for newer players (created or returned within the last 2-3 years?) get the ability to buy unowned QEQ or maybe QEQ at a drastic cost reduction. It'd also help a lot if newer players get a box or two for a much lower cost or free...Could be interesting to make the first 3-5 boxes cost less across the board, and scale up in price to match the same total gold and qps of 9 boxes currently. Maybe shared qeq could be unlocked through Ascensions. Maybe it should be A1 for newer players, and say A4 for active vets. Perhaps it should be a lengthy "miniquest" to get the gear reforged once you reach these tiers. Maybe limit the sharing to 2-3 names/chars. The shared QEQ could also be weaker and something we could implement by Seasons/Ladders. Each new season/ladder, the game will soft reboot for things like shared qeq, and maybe additional perks for amassing tons of levels, ascents, etc. Lots of longstanding RPGs use seasons to keep things fresh and fair, but we'd definitely never want to to a full wipe. Just offer some fresh perks for getting up and going that newcomers would benefit more from than the well established players. That one would require a good deal more thought and input. Moles, qps are pretty scarce still. Full 2500 tattoos are no small feat especially when you start looking at outfitting multiple characters. Then there's 4250qps per ten remorts per ascent assuming no failures. Obviously qeq if you want, and then if you ever need more trains to cap out hp/mn/mvs, quest, quest, quest. It's the biggest grind we have and the resource you can do the most with. There's also still Achievement Points just waiting to have a purpose other than extra god blesses. Unfortunately ACHpts are something vets have in spades and newer mates not so much so we can't really throw those at something like shared qeq for starters. I think it's important we implement something for them though. It could really help boost the desire to play here, return here, and stay active. Some of us have way too big a lead and we also need to keep adding content and power for vets so yeah. Significant momentum for the little guys sounds great.
