GM Masteries |

I think a lot more Grand Masteries should build into a new effect than
merely a small increase from your initial Master investment already gained
considering it costs the same amount again. Stuff like this:
War Cry : +5 hit/damroll, -100 AC -10 saves
A lot of GM's are pretty wasteful or pointless when you have other
things to spend your points on.
Only few are interesting where you go from 1x to 2x, and these
are usually low investments to begin with (bash, trip, disarm).
Grandmastering into something should really mean you're emphasizing
and trying to benefit from the niche you choose to specialize in.
As it stands now, most builds are best mastering a lot of things
and hardly GMing anything if any arguably. May as well just boost
all our stats and skills by a bit for a lump sum cost.
No, GM should be special if its cost is to be an arm and then another
arm. Not 40% to 50% flee, or 12% to 15% circle. Pay 4 trains for
40% and then another 4 for 10%, 3%? The main reason people are
taking any GM's right now is because not all skills have been added
which would certainly be sought instead than double dipping into
these wasteful GM's.
If you need help with ideas for secondary effects on them, then
ask...I and many others have already thrown down plenty that seem
to have been overlooked. I like the system's foundation, but can
we work on finishing and polishing it now? Add the rest of the
skills. Make a lot more of the investments worthwhile, in at least
some sensible instances.
