Dual Whip, Mace, and Flail?! |
|
These weapons don't ever seem to get enough love. Perhaps they need some new
spice injected into them along with more potential. Maces seem quite feasible
for wielding two at a time. Whips...it might be a little awkwrd, but Id don't
see why not. Flails. Well, who wouldn't love a new kamikaze tactic?
For Dual Whips I know Warriors and Gladiators master the weapon best, but I
think a neat bonus for wielding two would be a decent chancing at dislodging
loose change from your opponents. Basically a passive steal, and a way for
thieves to do "what they do best" a little more often and passively.
More chances at disarming perhaps, and attacks at risk of less accuracy and/or
damage.
Dual Mace could be a real monster for bash/dazzle focus. I'd think some
armor crushing potential could be in order after multiple rounds of such an
onslaught.
Flails I think already should share in Polearms' niche of improved melee
capability, and dual flails would open up that offensive rooming power, but
also increase the chance for you to take damage from how careful you would
have to be to wield two of these things while also having a small chance of
smashing the business end into your face, back, or foot. To compensate,
polearms could not only be better at melee, but better at parrying against
multiple opponents.
As always, these are slight chance factors. Though I don't think it would
be so bad to add more risk/reward to extraneous dual wield type options.
