Wands Mastery and GM
Bonus dmg from mana pool like how natural spells now benefit--occurs while
fighting offensively.
Staves MA/GM
Double ups the spell(s) casted for MA, and chance of a 3rd go for GM. Staves
have twice the lag of wands, and while some may have a nudge in plvl they still
are largely inferior due to lag.
Also wondering if we can get a usability upgrade. Right now wands/staves cannot
fully coexist with other held gear aside from weapons. It'd be cool if we could
embrace the magical tactic fully, and address the casters needs a bit more at
times by enabling the "dual wielding" of: Wand/Staff + Shield, W/S +
Instrument, and perhaps W/S + Focus object. Now, wand or staves already act as
focus objects...but I don't think the bonus applies to say a fireball wand's
damage? Maybe it could. Perhaps the two could even stack or partially stack.
Hmm also forgot Scrolls (and Scribe!) MA/GM
I think it'd be VERY cool to get to write our own mix/mash of spells with
Scribe. MA could offer a chance of being able to fit a second, maybe even third
spell? This could be further balanced by level ranges. So a high level spell
could fill the 1st spell slot, a mid to low lvl spell could go in the 2nd, and
only a low lvl spell could be placed in the third.
For Scrolls, MA could offer a chance of applying a random meta magic when
reciting. GM could guarantee that a meta magic would apply, and/or GM enables
you to specify the MM you wish to apply, but only at a 50% success rate like
GMing spells can.
