After being shocked by the information of having a sister, I wandered the
city, trying to make sense the stranger told me. A sister? The only
family I ever knew I met on the street. The one who taught me to steal
food to live on. The old woman who taught how to open almost any lock.
The family in the shadows. And now I find out I have blood kin? As I
walk deep in thought, a young boy comes up to me, fear in his eyes.
I am sorry to bother you, but are you known as Khloe?
I am. Who asks?
The boy shuddered and dropped his eyes, holding out the letter of my
sister's capture. The boy began to back away, muttering about how the Man
would kill his family if he said anything. I was too absorbed with the
note to pay any attention as the lad ran away. And so I began my search.
And then I realized how arrogant the person who wrote the note was. He
told me exactly where to go. I began my trek to the land of doom. I wish
I could say that I found out exactly where to go, but that would be a bit
of a stretch. Let us just say that my questions were answered, some even
answered without the use of my special skills. The answers led me to the
boss of crime in the land of doom. I entered the shadows try and gain an
advantage. I saw the man standing over Rhianna's unconcious body, not
even bothering to wipe the blood still oozing out of her mouth where he
cut out her tongue. I whispered to myself, "You want your dagger back?
Let me give it to you!." I struck out from the shadows and slid the
blade into the Crime Boss's back, but he did not drop. I ripped the
blade out as he spun around to face me.
A red fog covered my eyes as I screamed, "You bastard! You will pay for
what you have done!"
With that I struck out with all everything I had and plunged my dagger
into the man's eye. I twisted and drug the blade across, gouging out the
other eye. After the man's lifeless body crashed to the ground, I took
his new dagger and put it beside the old. I then went to Rhianna. She
tried to speak, but was unable to. I tended her wounds the best that I
could, knowing that someone more knowledgeable of healing would be
needed. As I helped Rhianna back to town, I had the good luck to find
the lich cleric Kassangel. The cleric told us that she could help
return Rhianna's speech to her. I have so many questions about my past
and now have someone that I can ask. But I need her to talk!
Kassangel, I ask for your help. Please help me get the answers that I
desperately need. If you could help Rhianna get her speech back, I
pledge a boon to you, for you to call upon at any time you wish.
For now, I try and learn about the sister that I never knew I had.
