Hogtie and Whips |
|
I was trying to think of a way to get better use of whips and
hogtie rope. It is rare to find anyone using whips. It is
hard to justify not using an offhand weapon and replacing
it with hogtie rope for the hogtie ability.
Well I was thinking about increasing the use of these two items
in the hands of a gunslinger, and if possible ranger and thief.
The desired effect is to have whips being able to have a chance
to disable someone from fleeing the room. Currently if someone
parries the attack you have the chance if disarm, well great.
I'm talking about preventing the chance to flee by being tripped
up by the whip. The next step up from that would be using hogtie
rope in the standard way. Hogtie every chance you get. If attempts
to flee are made, that's where the hogtie rope acs like a lasso.
If this were a skill or stance, i'd call it Rodeo. Prevention of
fleeing like entrapment using the equipped rope/whip. Whips wouln't
be able to hogtie, but they can still prevent fleeing. Trade the
whip which at least does decent damage as an offhand weapon for
the hogtie rope and Rodeo tries sneak in that hogtie for you each
possible chance in combat, and it can still be used against fleeing
opponents automatically.
Also, has anyone found any good hogtie ropes out there with
stats?
