Per the help files we have the following:
Parrying is more likely to occur than dodging, and shield blocking is
essentially
just parrying with a shield. Does this mean to say shield blocking is more
likely to occur than dodging? It then goes to say whips and flails are harder
to block with a shield due to their reach, and axes can SPLIT THEM. Now
shields obviously do not break. I doubt it has any other hidden effect against
the shield either. Does the same hold true for whips and flails. Is that
just fluff or an actual mechanic?
Bullets cannot be parried. Does the same hold true for bows (arrows)?
Are stats affecting show per results? Most people seem to sit at the same
rates until masteries come in to play. Maybe big jumps in differences
between effective skill percentages, but a bump or two perhaps not? Just
seems inconsequential at a glance. Does my mass agility mean my dodge
is in a good spot and I'll net more benefits out of dodge mastery and
grand mastery? Also, is the 3/5% boosts here a linear or multiplicative
factor of what you already have?
factor of what you already have?

Mass combat. Is this just another outside dodge 2 skill, or does it outclass
dodge, parry, and/or shield block? It has its own disadvantages. It's
only helpful against groups, and useless against ranged attacks (which I
assume includes bows with bullets). Being a unique, high level skill
with a bigger niche (read: less universal defense) I would certainly hope
it's stronger inherently than its three more basic passive counterparts,
and the fact that it's 4 trains rather than 3 to master/grandmaster.
Shout out to Guard needing a mastery.
