So there used to be a good number of cool chests with money you could try and
pick in certain areas.
Problem was you could just go ahead and hit up these same areas every repop
like clockwork.
Bring back some chests, spawn them randomly around Aarchon. Make them
pickable, shootable, and if you don't have that...attack it and it comes to
life
for an interesting, rewarding fight. Promotes exploration more too with the
earlier special items spawning in random shops.
Have the Bounty Hunter in Naxtar post listings of people he wants dead. This
won't be like quests where you can only grab one at a time or w/e. List is
always up, and if it's populated with names, first come, first serve. Bring
however many of the heads (mprog item, bonus gold x2 for behead?) you can find
back to him for the bounties, and a new list will randomly start to populate
itself as the old names have been removed. Mobs can be any and all, lowest to
highest level, reward based on flat amount + moblvl + time the bounty has
been listed for. The longer the bounty goes unclaimed, the more the Phentari
Bounty Hunter will want to pay you for it. Adjusted Price updates visibly
open north the wanted list.
Eventually this will take players all around the MUD, and before long...big,
bad, baddy mobs will start covering the thing. Explorers and fiercest warriors
alike shall be rewarded handsomely.
