I was similarly wondering same thing that Darnab was, but from the perspective
of.....
With the way stats are gained at a certain point from gear, its at a
ratio of 1:1 then 2:1 and 3:1 etc, etc. With dropping the stat tats,
that just basically kicking the players right in the privates because of all
the time and work put into them. I mean I didn't quest and put in all
those hours to be a mediocre character, I got those tats initially to
open up a serious can of whoop ass on whatever I was fighting. I had at first
a full suit of phoenixs and wyrms. Did very well in the damage department.
Then started to think more on the idea of stats, and from there slowly
started to switch out a few phoneix/wyrms for sphinxs.
Before the change to stat tats my tat ratio was going to be
5/5/3 , 5 wyrms, 5 phoenix, and 3 sphinx tats. Would've added just the
right amount of stats to really balance out my stats to my hr/dr.
NOW however, I am in full sphinxs and yes, my stats look really good
but if you break it down to how stats are gained(back to the ratio of stats
again)
a full suit of sphinxs is really at a loss. The only stat i have managed to get
to 200 (all be it barely) is my dex, but change out one piece of gear
and its not 200 anymore. And I am not saying I was looking for alot of 200s
but with the diminishing return that was already in place on stats before
the nerfing of stat tats I would've been alot more happier with my stats
than what they are now.
As a whole, I think that either stat tats should be taken back to what they
were
or another way to configure stats should be sought out to alleviate
those ugly diminishing returns.
