Subject Re: Juggernaut/Tanking/Taunt
Aibynn mentioned earlier that a lot of fights, even when it's just one mob, aren't really "tankable" in the normal sense because the mob is constantly hitting/damaging all people in the group, whether or not they're even engaged in the fight. So, a tank taunting a mob isn't going to do much to prevent damage to their group in that situation. It seems like what would be more useful for a tank class/subclass would be a skill that mitigates damage to the entire group, similar to the bard reflective hymn song. If the tank could redirect a portion of incoming damage from groupmates to themself it would probably be a more useful mechanic for Aarchon, compared to a skill to simply remain the primary target of a mob that constantly hits the whole group anyway. So a tank would focus on mitigation and damage reduction, as well as increasing the amount of damage soaked for his group. Although if healers can heal their entire group just as quickly as they can heal a single tank taking a group's worth of damage, then this wouldn't really change anything.
