scaling mana costs |
|
Most spells that heal or deal damage now increase in casting cost based on the
caster's maximum mana. E.g. cure light cost increases by +0.1% of maximum mana
(so +10 at 10k mana).
There increases in casting cost automatically increase the amount of hp healed
or damage dealt by the spell, meaning that for a high-level character, minor
spells such as cure light or magic missile will be much more damaging, but suck
a little more mana.
Showskill lists the new cost progressions, and mana cost reported by the spells
command is accurate. Meta-magic interacts with the new mana cost as normal, but
spells from items (scrolls, wands etc) do not benefit from the mana boost.
Along with this, the cost of a few spells have been tweaked. These include cure
mortal, rimbol's, turn undead, cause light/serious and harm (the cause spell
now match the cure spells in cost and casting time).
