| There are two factors reducing xp gain at level 90+: 1) Your "power" level is increased slightly to level + (level - 90), meaning that for each level above 90 you need to kill a mob 2 levels higher (instead of one) to gain the same xp. 2) XP gain is multiplied by a factor of 5 / (level - 84), instead of factor (300 - level) / 200, for a 21% xp drop at level 90 and increasing to a 68% drop at level 99. The first factor affects the entire group (if you're the highest-level character), the second factor only affects yourself. So in summary, there is only a fairly small xp drop for the group once someone hits level 90, but a major drop for the level 90 character. |
