Don't know whom you were fighting, but hitroll does not affect the opponent's
chance to dodge, parry, block, fade or otherwise evade your attacks, other than
by means of high AC.
Also, since I assume that your 850 hitroll figure refers to Mircenary's comment
with burst mastery, be aware that burst itself reduces your effective hitroll
by 60%, and burst mastery only mitigates this penalty a bit (reduced to -40%).
