Damage is determined by spell casting cost and lag, as well as spell level (which is somewhat affected by skill percentage). Then there are adjustments for focus and wielding a held item. Area spells generally deal a bit less damage per target, while touch spells (chill touch/burning hands) deal more damage if the hit. Penalties (e.g. from weaken) depend only on spell level. |
