| None of the mobs in remort 3/4 appear to use mob cast, they all rely on the spec_cast and act_mage type casting functions. My guess is that the mobs were casting spells on your zombies, in which case mana burn and iron maiden do not trigger. This change was made about a year ago because necromancers were able to build and army of Zombies, go attack a mob that used area attacks based on the number of targets in the room, and essentially kill themselves in only a few rounds of combat. When the mob casts a spell on you however, their mana should burn. I tested this to make sure the functionality worked as intended, and it appears to. If you can provide a log next time this happens that'd be great. |
