Subject MUD Update
Hi everyone, Maedhros shared a good note on the imm board so im going to kinda paraphrase/summarize it here for everyone so that you're all up to date with what is going on. It's been a while since we've done one of these. Engel - Recently promoted to 104 (Congrats). Engel is going through every room, and every object in the game to ensure that the sector is set correctly, and that the object has a value in silver so that it can be sold to shop keepers. This is important to a lot of skills, and also things like alchemy that depend on room sectors to thrive. Belavir - Belavir is following up behind Engel to double check every- thing. This quality check should ensure a better experience for all players. He's also our mprog guru and is regularly fixing mobs/mprog bugs that get reported Ashen - Ashen is working on helpfiles to keep them up to date, accurate, and in some cases easier to read. He is working on establishing guide- lines, and redoing some old help files. Myself/Maedhros - We just had a recent batch of code implemented, and are working on more code currently. Some possible future developments include: Crafting System, achievement System, skills/spells for the classes that didn't get anything in the last update, more functionality for alignment, new imm commands to help with development, area maintainence, and continued bug fixes/balance. A remort 8 is being worked on, however we cannot say with certainty when it will be complete. My best guess is that it will be done in the first half of next year. I know that's a huge window but we don't want to promise something that can't be delivered. In the mean time, we will continue developing the R8 races. We plan to run a couple of smaller quests in the coming months, and pending time/creativity, hopefully another mud-wide quest as well. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone for doing so great on the voting. September 1st is right around the corner and I'm confident that we can break into the Top 20 on Top Mud Sites, and the Top 10 on The Mud Connector if everyone keeps it up. -Your IMM staff.
