| Here are some website stats for you all. I shared these with the IMMs just the other day. I'll do a much more thorough and in depth analysis at the end of the month Dec 1 - Dec 31 Advertising Sources : Top Mud Sites (Banner) Rankings : Not in the top 10 or 20 on TMC or TMS respectively Traffic: 928 visitors 11.10% Search - 103 visits 31.36% Referral - 291 visits 57.54% Direct Traffic - 534 vists Sources: Direct - 534 Top Mud Sites - 173 Google - 91 Mud Connect - 17 Mud Verse - 7 Jan 1 - Jan 9 Advertising Sources : Top Mud Sites, The Mud Connector (Banner) Rankings : Top 20 on TMS, Top 10 on TMC Traffic: 415 visitors 13.01% Search - 54 visits 45.30% Referral - 188 Visits 41.69% Direct - 173 visits Sources: [Hit Return to continue] Direct - 173 Top Mud Sites - 95 Google - 49 Mud Connect - 44 Mud Verse - 2 As you can see, by being in the top listings on both website and advertising on both sites, our referral traffic has increased dramatically. Assuming the trend continues, we should fall somewhere between 500 and 600 referral visits for the month of January. We finally have more referral traffic (mostly new players) than direct traffic (mostly existing players). What's the cost of advertising? $35/month on Top Mud Sites, $50/month on The Mud Connector. For another $30/month we can have a second banner on Top Mud Sites on the left hand frame. This will go up in the next few days. After that we might have 1 more month of advertising and then that's probably it for a while until more donations roll in. At the end of the month I'll do a traffic comparison for November, December, and January so we can compare no advertising, some advertising, and full advertising. I think the number of newbies lately speaks for itself. We're getting like 2-4 per day at least. |
