| Hey everyone, I know the lag has been pretty bad lately so I opened a ticket up with our hosting company to find out what exactly is going on. Sparing you all from reading a serious of lengthy emails, the short answer is that our host changed to a new data center recently (when the lag started) and it appears they're having some hardware issues. Tomorrow night (Sunday 12/18/11) at 11:00PM MST (I believe that's 10PM PST and 1AM EST) they will be conducting some maintenance to hopefully alleviate the connectivity / lag issues while they continue to upgrade their entire network over the next few weeks. Yes, the lag is frustrating and something we shouldn't be having to deal with in 2011 on a game that was capable of running on networks from the mid 90's, but unfortunately this is where we're at today. The good news is that their customer support team has been excellent about responding to us within 24 hours (usually 2-5 hours), and the issues shouldn't be around for long. Thankfully the lag typically only lasts 5 minutes at a time. Thank you for your patience. |
