| Hi everyone, Just wanted to give you all an update that on December 3rd, from 1AM to 5AM CST, the MUD will be down as our host is performing routine maintenance on all of their servers. If we're not back online promptly at 5AM please be patient - one of us will have the MUD back online as soon as possible. Also, it took a while but the banner Ishkun designed for us is finally up on Top Mud Sites. It took them almost 2 weeks put the banner up so we were given 2 additional weeks of free advertising (6 weeks total) meaning we should be up on there until January 14th 2012. We also have a small icon next to our name on the rankings page (Currently rank 31). It is very important that we try to make newbies feel welcomed here. If there is something that is driving them away it would be great if we could find out what it is they don't particularly like about the MUD. Voting every day on Top Mud Sites and on Mud Connector is going to be the only real way we'll ever attract new players to the MUD. It's great to have all the old long-term players here, but fresh blood means fresh ideas and hopefully a longer existence for us. I've known many, if not all of you for nearly a decade (give or take) and it would be nice to go another 10 years. We might be on outdated technology but to me this 'game' is more than just a game. |
