meta-magic 'meta magic' 'extend spell' 'empower spell' 'quicken spell' 'chain spell' reliable
Skilled casters can modify spells they cast to suit their needs. Any meta-magic effect (except reliable) applied to a spell doubles its casting cost. For the 'chain spell' metamagic effect, casting time is doubled as well. The benefits of the different meta-magic effects are listed below. extend: Increases duration by 50%. empower: Increases caster level by 12.5% and damage/healing by 25%. quicken: Reduces casting time by half (minimum half a round). chain: Spell affects all enemies or allies. For non-primary targets, the caster level is reduced by factor 3/4. reliable: No concentration loss from low skill. Increases mana cost and lag based on chance of concentration loss. Requires no skill, but cannot be used during combat. Syntax: mmcast [cepqr] <spell name> [other args] To apply only a single meta-magic effect, the following aliases can be used: ecast, pcast, qcast, ccast, rcast Syntax: ecast <spell name> [other args] Note: Arcana stance and empower don't "stack". If you empower a drac spell, being in arcana stance won't increase damage and mana cost further. Example: mmcast pq 'dispel magic' snake
