Reimbursement
Quest equipment is the only equipment that may be considered for
reimbursement. It will be reimbursed after a thorough investigation
in which the following is determined:
-It was our fault. The mud crashed, a specific bug caused some loss,
etc. "It just disappeared" is not acceptable, because that never
really happens. If the loss was induced by something you caused:
accidental sacrificing, password sharing, losing the items, etc.,
the equipment will not be reimbursed. Try to be smarter next time
around.
-You really had the items you claimed to have. Your friends, neighbors,
lovers, relatives, house cleaner, clan mates, librarian, local postal
worker, and your pets will be interviewed. Your past player files will
be looked at. Your history on Aarchon will be reviewed. Private
detectives will be hired. If at any time doubt is raised over you
actually having the items, your reimbursement request will not be
honored. The burden of proof is yours.
-The incident which you claimed caused your loss actually occured. Mud
logs will be checked, your unlawful sexual partners will be interviewed,
and the incident will be verified. As in the above case, the burden
of proof is yours. If doubt is raised, your reimbursement request will
be denied, or delayed.
-You were respectful at all times. By taking proper precautions and
using common sense, one should never lose anything. It is understood
however that on occasion you may lose something, and it may indeed
be our fault. Expect the process to be long, slow to initiate, an
uphill battle, and feel fortunate should at some point you are
actually reimbursed. Understand this process has been designed to be
that way purposefully to maintain the integrity of the mud and to
encourage people to take a proactive role in not losing their quest
equipment.
Quest items will NOT be transferred from one character to another.
They are only for the original questor under their original name.
If a character is deleted for inactivity, there is a chance that
a backup of the player file may be restored, but the quest equipment
will not be restored in any other fashion.
Gold does not qualify for a reimbursement. It is easy enough to get.

for a reimbursement, please write a note on the personal board to
immortal. Describe in extreme detail what happenend, any logs

alternate ways to get ahold of you. Also include a precise list
of the items you would like considered for reimbursement. After
the note, please do not attempt any further communication with the
immortal staff regarding your reimbursement - if we have questions or
concerns we will contact you.
