quest quests questing
Quest points are a necessity in Aarchon and can be earned in many ways. Quest points are used in several ways on Aarchon. They are required to enter a remort, can be used to purchase powerful equipment or special titles, and can even be used to purchase practices. Practices can be turned into trains and used for many character improvements. See help trains for more details. There are many methods in place to earn quest points. 1. The automated quest system. The commands below can be used in the presence of El Cid (2n, 2e) or Bastion (ne, u, e) -- the true quest masters of Aarchon. quest request - Sends you on a quest to kill a mob or retrieve an item. If you are on a quest to kill a mob, look for a [TARGET] tag next to its name. quest requesthard - Requests a quest that typically requires help from another player to complete. Rewards are much greater. quest info - Reminds you of who or what you are after, and where to find it. quest time - Displays the amount of time remaining to complete a quest, or if you are not on a quest, the amount of time until you may request another. quest giveup - Fails your current quest. You must wait 10 minutes to request a new one. quest complete - Turns in your quest for a reward of quest points, gold, and occasionally practices. Normal quests have a range of 0 - 45qp, based on your CHA and LUC stats. Hard quests have a range of 5 - 55qp, and have a higher gold / exp reward. The chance for and number of practices are also increased. quest points - Gives your current number of quest points. quest list - Displays a list of items and bonuses that can be purchased quest buy <item> - Purchases the specific item. quest sell <item> - Sells back a quest item for 90% of its original cost. Legacy quest equipment is flagged with the word "OLD" and is refunded at 100%. 2. Mini-quests. Throughout Aarchon you will find various mobs who have tasks or quests for you to complete. Mini-quests are catalogued and you can see which areas contain mini-quests by typing areas. Some of these mini-quests are repeatable in different time intervals. You can visit The OTHER Quest Master's Quarters (3w, 2n, e) and look at the index in the room for more information. 3. Puzzles and Games. There are a few puzzles and mini-games available that you can repeat on a regular basis. Make your way through the randomly generated maze, or complete a slide puzzle for some extra quest points. These start at The OTHER Quest Master's Quarters (3w, 2n, e). 4. Balloon Gathering. In your adventures you may find colored balloons floating around. Grab a balloon and take it to Honko the Clown (3w, n, e) for a quest point reward. Be careful though, the balloons can drift from your grasp. 5. Animal Capturing. Grraka the Animal Trainer (NE) is always on the lookout for new creatures. Purchase an animal tracking sheet and some nets from him to begin this quest. Each animal is worth 5qp and you're awarded with additional prizes at various milestones.
