Playback is a command used to view a log of channel communications.
Playback logs are handled in two different ways:
Public channels [public|imm|savant]:
These are logs that are kept of any who communications on these channels. They are viewable by anybody with access to the channels and are only cleared by immortal intervention or reboot/copyover.
'public' log comprises gossip, auction, music, question, answer, quote, gratz, gametalk, bitch, and newbie channels.
Only channels that are turned on will show in the output of playback. Up to 300 entries are kept.
Private channels [tell|gtell|clan|info]:
These are logs of communications you personally receive on these channels. It is cleared when you log off. Only 100 entries are kept for each of these channels.
By default the number of entries shown will be according to
your scroll setting. You can also provide a number argument
to specify how many entries to print.
