For a pill: You must use EAT.
For a potion: You must use QUAFF.
For a scroll: You must use RECITE.
For a staff: You must use BRANDISH.
For a wand: You must use ZAP.
To use a staff or wand, you must first HOLD it.
If a target is not specified, and it is a beneficial spell, it will
likely cast upon you. If it is a malicious spell, and you are in
battle, your foe is the default target.
