| Each immortal within the realm of Aarchon has duties to preform
which fall into various categories.
The following is a reference for the categories and whom you may need
to speak to about various issues.
Head Builder: responsible for approving all building projects before
construction, for assigning vnums, and determining how many to
assign. For giving final approval to an area, and putting it in the game.
Approach/note this person if you wish to discuss issues to do with
building here on Aarchon.
Quality Control: responsible for thoroughly checking areas before they
are put in the game by the Head Builder. They are responsible for
dealing with any bugs, or out of spec eq in the game. Approach/note
this person if you find a bug with an area, or have an issue with
possible out of spec eq.
**Note, the positions of Head Builder, and Quality Control often**
**overlap, it is a good idea to approach either or both in most **
**matters to do with building and bug location and fixing. **
Savant Relations: responsible (in conjunction with their sponsor) for
keeping track of all Savants, making sure they work and don't cheat.
They must approve of candidates for savanthood. It is they who raise
and orient new Savants, once they have a sponsor, and the Head
Builder/Quality Control approves their first area. It is also they who
demote bad savants. If you wish to create an area and add to Aarchon,
post a note to IMM on personal board, and you will be contacted
by the appropriate immortal.
Mortal Relations: mediates issues of tension between mortals and immortals,
trying to encourage mutual respect, and speaks for the mortals in imm
discussions. This department is also concerned with a newbie's
perspective, and so must ensure that the helpfile restoress are up to date;
as well, the Helper program is run through this dept.
Head Coder: creates and improves the code for Aarchon. This can
include bug fixes which the Quality Control cannot fix (such as actual
errors within the code itself) as well as being in charge of adding all
new code to the mud. This person generally heads a coding
department, working hard to improve the code available for use in this
realm. Approach/note this person if you have concerns about code,
new code, or wish to have the chance to add some of your code to the
realm.
Roleplay: encourages roleplay and quests within the realm. This can
include sponsoring mortal run quests, trivia, or games, as well as
hosting imm run quests. Feel free to speak with/note this person with
any ideas for quests, or with offers to run one yourself. This person
can also be consulted as a reference for help with character building
and establishment.
**NOTE: Please post your note on the appropriate board. IE:
Ideas for improvement, addressed to imm on ideas board, ideas
for quests addressed to imm on quest board, etc etc...
Do NOT post to a specific imm, rather, post to IMM that way you
are assured that more than one person sees the note, since
many of the immortals here overlap with their jobs and duties.**
