| For those who need assistance, we have a HELPER program. Helpers are
identified by their unique (HELPER!) flags. (Higher remorted chars
will only see an identifying mark: *.)
Ask them for assistance, but remember:
- There are helpfiles for just about everything, and if you find that
something is missing from them, please write a note to Imm and we
will be sure to update the appropriate files.
- Helpers are not your slaves. They are NOT required to cast spells
on you or help you complete quests. Some like to help in different ways,
but their ONLY responsibility to newbies is to provide INFORMATION to
help the new character learn and grow.
- For a very good explanation of some of the most very basic concepts,
go through the Initiation area thoroughly, read all the signs, everything.
Early areas are usually easier to explore thoroughly,
but be sure to practice your exploring skills by seeking out the
full set of equipment from the Pirate's Lair! To know how to explore, is
to know how to fully enjoy your experience in these lands.
