Syntax: cast gate <target character> The gate spell is a powerful transportation magic that opens up a portal between your character and another person or creature somewhere else in the world. This portal will transport you and any pet you might have, but not other members of your group or any charmed mobs. You cannot gate: - out of a norecall room (the gods will refuse) - into a norecall room, safe room, private/solitary room (your powers can't get you there) - to a mob or player immune to summon (the target refuses your company) - an area not yet in game (you fail completely) If you just get a "You failed" message, your target has happened to make his/her saving throw for that attempt. (Hey, at least you didn't get teleported to some random place, which also sometimes happens...)
