Crafting is a powerful skill learned by many fighters throughout Aarchon.
By extracting materials from otherwise unwanted or unusable weapons and
armor, fighters are able to reconstruct powerful equipment to better suit
them in combat.
There are several commands associated with the "craft" skill. Once you gain
"craft" you will have access to the following:
Syntax:
supplies
extract
craft
The supplies command with no syntax will show you all supplies that can be
extracted, and how hard it is to extract those materials.
Extract uses the level of the item to determine what types of materials you
have a chance of getting. Extract must be used with a syntax, specifically
pointing to an armor or a weapon. Sticky armor and weapons cannot be extracted,
along with a few other items that are specifically flagged no_extract.
Example:
extract sword
Craft with no syntax will show you a list of all items available for crafting,
and the level of that item. Some items have predetermined stats, some of have
random stats (particularly items level 90 and above). When crafting an item,
you will nee to specify physical or mental stats. If the item has pre-defined
stats, this field won't alter the item. If the item uses random stats, it will
tailor the armor or weapon to the parameter you specified
Syntax: craft [name] [physical|mental]
Example:
craft fine_gloves physical
craft champion_whip mental
To see randomly generated stats you will need to use "identify" on the object,
as lore will not show these stats. The wandering sages in Bastion are however
exempt to this rule -- they can lore an item with random stats for you.
Furthermore, crafting can be used to fortify light armor into heavy armor,
or to reverse the process.
Syntax: craft [strengthen|lighten] [name]
