Aarchon MUD - Changes


Below is an index of (mostly) all of the changes we've made since the beginning of Aarchon. The changes are sorted in chronological order with the credits listed after each change. While most of the more current code changes were done by own immortal staff, many of the early changes included bug fixes and updates that were circulated throughout the community. We try our best to credit the original author(s) of the work.

July 6, 1998 - continued (all by Quirky)
213. "open door" now works for any closed exit if only one in room
214. raceskills crash bug fixed
215. All skills targettable now.
216. Dark vision, infravision, coldblooded now are as they should be.
217. Dual wield, twohandedness, etc fixed up.
218. Humming now allows things to be found in dark or when blind.
219. Weather spells: monsoon, hailstorm, meteor swarm!
220. Newbie channel implemented, and newbies can only use it till lvl 3.
221. Reconnect/AFK returns will only prompt for "replay" if necessary.
222. Fade spell is now a spell affect.
223. Cancel/dispel now work on all new spell affects.
224. Players now can't be affected by more than one "hide" ...but
but hide affect only lasts until any new command is handled.
225. Gate spell failure messages now are more useful.

September 26, 1998
233. Lope's ColoUr v2.0 tweaked and installed. (Quirky)
234. Clan Morningstar re-added. (Quirky)
235. Players can't choose a starting weapon unless they have the
skill at level 1. (Quirky)
236. Pflag hours in score, quest points in worth, and prompt can now
be configured to show qps and field xp. (Quirky)
237. "gain lose mana" = "gain losehp" bug fixed. (Quirky)

238. Newline colour code removed. (Quirky)
239. Curse can't be cast on people in safe rooms. (Quirky)

241. Backstab and circle now hit once for each dagger you are wielding. (Quirky)
