Aarchon MUD - Changes


Below is an index of (mostly) all of the changes we've made since the beginning of Aarchon. The changes are sorted in chronological order with the credits listed after each change. While most of the more current code changes were done by own immortal staff, many of the early changes included bug fixes and updates that were circulated throughout the community. We try our best to credit the original author(s) of the work.

1053. Colour fixed up: q/a, auction, PROCLAIM! And ventriloquate. Colour D is now usable. Clan/proclaim added to 'channels'. (Quirky)

1055. Examine shows weapon type and approximate weight, and armor wear-location. (Quirky)
1056. "who": 'religion', tag, red, blue, female, male, neuter/sexless. Results are sorted by level, then clan, then rank. People in warring religions see W/w on who list. (Quirky)

1058. open/close/lock/pick can use abbreviated directions (Quirky)
1059. one_use key disappears on locking (Quirky)
1060. chars won't stand up when damaged, instead jump up chance each round, jump-up skill added (Bobble)
1061. Bug fixes to Moneychanger: Now gives appropriate message when amount of money exceeds what he can handle; exchange of gold for silver possible; his "tells" do not mess up "reply". (Quirky)
1062. Imms: list of reserved names now does page_to_char. (Quirky)
1063. Finger includes faith points, only for the god of the person's religion. (Quirky)
1064. Pkill_timer prevents pkill within first few minutes of logon. (Quirky)
1065. Firewitch's Seance has half a chance of losing an attack per round, but in exchange, the healing rate is improved according to skill percentage. (Quirky)
1066. Protection good/evil: the effect is reduced when the actual align difference is < 1000. (Quirky)
1067. Info message for pkills only mentions clan if the kill was a clanwar kill. (Quirky)
1068. Showdown stance reduces jam chance even further. Offhand gun may jam in the following skills, which now use both guns: burst, fullauto, semiauto. (Quirky)
1069. Bug fix: mobs that are vuln weapon/magic give appropriate decrease of experience. (Quirky)
1070. mobs won't restance while down (Bobble)
1071. Can either break free or struggle free from a net, or flee while still wearing it. (Quirky)
1072. "die" command, for when you're below zero, and not in a pkill battle. (Quirky)

1076. "spit" command now rekindles memories of the old "spit" social. (Quirky)

1081. Harm works as normal, down to 1/2 victim's hp. Cause critical works to 1/4, cause serious down to 1/8, and cause light down to 1/16. (Quirky)
1082. Chain spells chain for longer with better skill, better focus, and more targets. Casting upon only ONE target is HAZARDOUS, because the chain must jump to somewhere! (i.e. YOU!) (Quirky)
1083. Dispel evil/good: If the victim is the opposite align as the spell cast, and the victim is in his/her religion's alignment range, s/he will be protected by his/her god(ess). (Quirky)
1084. Hand of siva can create twohanded weapons. (Quirky)
1085. Hand of god: ONLY useable by people who are in their religion's align range (not usable by non-religious people). (Quirky)
1086. Fixed small, hardly-noticable bug in Smote's Anachronism. (Quirky)
1087: Quests: Mobs will NOT pick up quest items. "quest info" tells area and room name. "Sorry I don't have any quests for you" message has been changed to be more clear. (Quirky)
1088. Fishing skill tweaked slightly. (Quirky/Bobble)
1089. "religion war status" screen improved! (Quirky)
1090. "God protect" blessing gives AC and protection from magic. (Quirky)
1091. BLESSES/CURSES are REMOVED upon ENTERING any non-religious WARFARE. (Quirky)
1092. Eq-switching bug-abuse for warfare is no longer possible. Also, you get healed as combat begins -- so feel free to give spellups while people are waiting in the prep room! :) (Quirky)
